Canterbury, Ashburton, Surrey Hills Community Finance Limited ("CASH") operates four Bendigo Bank branches in Canterbury, Surrey Hills and Ashburton and Balwyn. As a Customer Service Officer, you will be the face of Ashburton Community Bank® Branch, leading the way with our unique philosophy. You will be given the support you need to do what you do best – listening to customers and using your skills to help them achieve their financial goals.

We have a full time 11 month contract position at our Ashburton Community Bank® Branch, however the successful candidate will be required to work at any one of the four branches. Saturday mornings will be on a rotating roster basis.

 

The Customer Relationship Officer provides a high standard of professional service that explores the customer’s needs and circumstances and provides solutions relevant to their lifestyle.  You will demonstrate a high level of ownership which is based on building strong relationships with customer and the wider community.  You will actively engage our customers to explore all the services and best products to suit their needs.

 

The successful candidate will closely support the Branch Manager developing and coaching team members in our products, services and quality referrals and also be involved in the Branch’s operational and compliance activities.   We are seeking candidates with a positive attitude and communication style, who will actively assist the Customer Service Officers during peak times. 

 

 

Skills, Experience, Knowledge

 

Ideally you will be highly experienced in Consumer Lending and:

  • Demonstrable experience in consistently meeting sales targets
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers to identify their relevant products and solutions
  • Ability to mentor and coach team members on products and services
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes
  • Take ownership of customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • FSRA Accreditation Tier 2
  • Delegated Lending Authority (DLA) will be advantageous
